The Lexus Broadway Series 2012-13 season will begin with War Horse coming to Dallas September 12th thru 23rd at the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s beautiful Winspear Opera House. The acclaimed author of War Horse Michael Morpurgo held a special evening with special guest singer Melanie Doane. Michael also took part in a more intimate sit down interview about his books and much more the next day. HAIR at the Winspear NEXT WEEK!!
The Broadway run-away hit will begin its Winspear Opera House run starting next Tuesday, September 20th and lasting thru till Sunday October 2nd. To showcase the start of the Lexus Broadway Series, with the fun ride that is HAIR, the folks at the ATTPAC had a Yarn Bombing. A MASSIVE YARN BOMBING THAT IS! Last Night’s Tony Awards showcased the beauty, brilliance and ballsy history behind our Theatrical world. As Book of Mormon backed up its 14 nominations with 9 “WINS!” it harped back to this last decade’s record setting productions. Mel Brook’s amazing THE PRODUCERS is the all-time Tony Award winning Musical with 12 taken home in 2001. It shares the total nomination title (15 total) with the musical who’s currently playing RIGHT HERE IN DALLAS, Billy Elliot.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center Announces the 2011-2012 Lexus Broadway Series Season
“We have raised the bar on Broadway in Dallas once again. The AT&T Performing Arts Center’s 2011-2012 Lexus Broadway Series brings five fresh, groundbreaking musicals to the Dallas Arts District,” said Doug Curtis, interim CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

That’s right The Winspear Opera House, at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, has two big Lexus Broadway Series shows coming up and tickets are NOW ON SALE!! Also we have a real treat with the Q & A session that followed the AMAZING Kodo Drummers of Japan that were in town this past Thursday night. O and how about Jean-Michel Cousteau on Wednesday Night. Yep the big red Winspear has been quite busy as of late!
