The best sports documentaries are rarely about the sport themselves. The Iran Job is one of those moving documentaries that the sport takes a back seat to realities of the area it takes place. A look into a veiled country whose regime has masked the wonderful Iranian people. Kevin Sheppard’s story of his time in Iran is moving, uplifting and at times mind-boggling. I was able to chat with the Director Till Schauder & Star Kevin Sheppard about this tremendous experience of a life time.

Along with Bart Weiss, the couple took part in a roundtable discussion of their work, their connection to DVF and much more. The title of this post is more for shock value, but sadly this gripping documentary showcases how its not far off the reality. Forks over Knives isn’t your typical food documentary that tries to scare you with scenes of animals being slaughtered. In fact the only open bodies we see are humans who’ve been in surgery with world class surgeons. This documentary does something different, something unique, and thus something groundbreaking. A life altering film.
