Tonight at the newly renovated and improved Club Dada in Deep Ellum, Pearl Snap Discount presents the latest installment in their Blogosphere series starring Pale Horse, Manned Missiles and Soviet! Doors at 8p and downbeat is at 9p. So come out and have a drink with us and let’s celebrate the fantastic arts community we have in DFWd!

Local Music Review: Soviet

Much like in film, there’s something to be said for a band that can convey its message in a short period of time. And, thanks in no small part to the immediacy of the interwebs, we currently find ourselves in the middle of a musical shift. Gone is the pretense surrounding long players, which have given way to EPs and, increasingly, singles as the preferred method of consumption.

The upstart Dallas punks in Soviet know quite well of our short attention span. And, thus, their debut Forever Today EP gets to the point quickly.
